Mother's Day Surprise

Every once in a while, we like to stay at Branson Bear for a long weekend too. With Mother's Day around the corner, we decided to block the time for ourselves. We had a terrific dinner Friday evening at Saltgrass Steakhouse on Branson Landing. We sat out side on the patio along the lake, listening to some live blues music. Food & service were tops—so was the "Texas Tea."  Saturday morning started with a light breakfast at the Branson Cafe in old Branson then we hung out at the cabin until treat time. Cathy got some well deserved spa time across the way at the Cedar Creek Spa at Big Cedar Lodge. Amazing. We had a sunset dinner afterward at the Buzzard Bar on the deck facing Table Rock Lake. It was delicious. Another peaceful evening at the cabin then down to Starbucks for some wake up joe and shopping at Dick's 5 & 10. That place is sooo much fun. We brunched at Devil's Pool, also at Big Cedar and saw this lovely doe winding back up the hillside. We have the afternoon to chill out and read on our back deck. To top it off, there's a nest in our wreath hanging on the front door-baby robins were born in it on Saturday. All in all, it's been a 4-star getaway. We'd do it all again.

Finishing off a week of our Spring Fling with our friends Robin & Loren at the cabin. New landscaping, deep cleaning and more upgrades on the inside including a big HDTV. Perfect for late night movies on Netflix or a ball game. So come make yourself at home. Enjoy the shows, lakes, golf and outdoors FIRST—then it's ok to cool off, curl up and relax.

2013 Vacation Season Kickoff

Cathy Nehmer "Mamma Bear"

It's 2013 and it's going to be a year of big changes for Little Bear Log Cabin. We've been working hard over the last few months to make cabin upgrades to make your vacation experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. But wait—there's more...we can't tell you just yet but if you found THIS site, look around and we bet you can figure it out. So stay tuned or better yet, why not a visit to Branson and and a few evenings at Little Bear? Can you say "cabin fever"?

Happy Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day weekend and it's been almost perfect. You see, My wife Cathy is the heart of our vacation rental log cabin business. She's the one most likely you'll talk to. She tries to make your vacations as relaxing and enjoyable as she does for our family. Always planning. Always thinking about what we we like for our family then translating that to Little Bear Log Cabin for our guests. So before we went to St. Louis for a picnic with her Mother, we went down to the cabin to plant flowers. Crazy for rental property when there's no staff to care for them. But that's not how she rolls. Beautiful inside and out. We are sharing our vacation "home", why should it be any different? I love that about her. Cathy has been blessed with the gift of hospitality. And our children and I have been blessed with her. Happy Mother's Day Cathy. You are the Mama Bear of Little Bear.
