Every once in a while, we like to stay at Branson Bear for a long weekend too. With Mother's Day around the corner, we decided to block the time for ourselves. We had a terrific dinner Friday evening at Saltgrass Steakhouse on Branson Landing. We sat out side on the patio along the lake, listening to some live blues music. Food & service were tops—so was the "Texas Tea."  Saturday morning started with a light breakfast at the Branson Cafe in old Branson then we hung out at the cabin until treat time. Cathy got some well deserved spa time across the way at the Cedar Creek Spa at Big Cedar Lodge. Amazing. We had a sunset dinner afterward at the Buzzard Bar on the deck facing Table Rock Lake. It was delicious. Another peaceful evening at the cabin then down to Starbucks for some wake up joe and shopping at Dick's 5 & 10. That place is sooo much fun. We brunched at Devil's Pool, also at Big Cedar and saw this lovely doe winding back up the hillside. We have the afternoon to chill out and read on our back deck. To top it off, there's a nest in our wreath hanging on the front door-baby robins were born in it on Saturday. All in all, it's been a 4-star getaway. We'd do it all again.
